Accounting Specialist

FREEBIRD AIRLINES

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist and a good team member who will work in Freebird Airlines’ Headquarters in Çobançeşme İstanbul.

Requirements for the position;

• Bachelor's degree in related fields (i.e. Business Administration / Economics/ Finance)
• Min.3 years prior experience in a related position; or auditing company experience in Assurance or Tax Departments,
• SMMM degree or internship is an asset,
• Good knowledge of Turkish GAAP, Turkish tax, and IFRS accounting requirements,
• Good knowledge of MS Office,
• Knowledge of the Tiger Enterprise Accounting Program is an asset,
• Excellent command of English,
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities,
• Preferably located on the European side of Istanbul,
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and daily solid follow-up skills,
• Ability to work under time pressure and with strict deadlines,
• Result-oriented, a good team player, well-disciplined and well-organized,
• No obligation of military service for male candidates,
• Aviation background will be an asset.

Accounting Specialis responsibilities will be;

• Conduct various reports, journal entries, and reconciliations in a timely manner,
• Complete and act as the main contact for intercompany & non-intercompany reconciliations and cross-charges,
• Supporting the finance department in order to prepare the cash flow report,
• Participating in month-end/year-end closing activities,
• Working closely with all departments, assisting external consultants and independent auditors,
• Assisting in the handling of accounting and financing queries from other departments,
• Other daily works assigned by accounting management.
