Summary:

The Footwear Buyer at Les Benjamins is responsible for spearheading the buying processes across all retail and e-commerce operations, focusing particularly on our vital footwear department. As a beacon of sneaker culture, this role demands an individual with not only a profound understanding of sneakers' past, present, and future but also a high-energy, innovative approach to store activations, visual merchandising, and marketing collaborations. The ideal candidate embodies the spirit of sneaker culture and is committed to translating Les Benjamins’ unique vision into a tangible, influential footwear division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the entire footwear buying process for both retail and e-commerce platforms, ensuring a perfect blend of commercial viability and brand alignment.
  • Generate and present weekly sales and vendor-facing sell-through reports, analyzing performance to maintain alignment with key metrics and company goals.
  • Lead the footwear buying department under the guidance of the Head of Category, optimizing purchases to meet both commercial objectives and brand standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of purchase orders, resolving discrepancies swiftly to maintain operational excellence.
  • Collaborate across departments to solve daily challenges and support overall business growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor and team relationships to facilitate smooth operations and innovative collaborations.
  • Craft and distribute trend reports, identify new brand and product opportunities, and remain at the forefront of sneaker culture to enhance our product offerings.
  • Educate and support customer service and retail staff, providing them with the knowledge needed to elevate customer interactions and brand loyalty.
  • Coordinate with the Visual Merchandising and Marketing departments to ensure consistent and compelling in-store presentations and online content.
  • Spearhead in-store activations and marketing campaigns to bolster our sneaker presence, collaborating closely with the marketing department on sneaker launches and promotions.
  • Travel to stores nationwide and globally to ensure alignment with our sneaker footwear strategy and gather insights from local teams.
  • Translate the vision of Bunyamin Aydin into actionable strategies and narratives within the footwear division, telling the unique stories behind each sneaker release and educating our community with innovative content.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Buying, Merchandising, or related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the fashion and retail industry, with a strong emphasis on footwear.
  • Exceptional knowledge and passion for sneaker culture and industry trends.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint/Keynote.
  • Fluency in English and Turkish, both written and verbal.

Skills:

  • Deep and advanced knowledge of sneaker culture, history, and current trends.
  • High energy and innovative thinking, capable of conceptualizing and executing in-store activations and marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, combined with a storyteller’s touch and attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail math and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Superior communication abilities and a natural talent for building relationships.
