QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description

  • Be able to develop sales, formulate forecasts and action plans for the development of new business opportunities, aimed at achieving budget objectives and continuous growth in the assigned areas.
  • Plan and frequently visit customers, and participate in regular meetings with Sales, R&D & QC, Purchasing and Production.
  • Support and develop local DIB sales by cooperating with Group's commercial-export manager.
  • Compliance to company's and Group's policies and rules.


General Qualifications

  • Effective in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and capable to drive results.
  • Accustomed to the challenging Plastics masterbatch market environment of Istanbul and other cities.
  • University degree in Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience as area Sales Engineer with a reputable company that specializes in high quality tailor-made colors and additives for the plastics
  • Knowledge of the overall Plastics Industry in Istanbul and other cities (sectors, applications).
  • Good reporting skills and ability to prepare Sales Budgets and forecasts, set and follow up monthly targets, analyze budget deviations, identify problem areas and plan corrective actions when necessary.
  • Experience in customer evaluation, determination of Credit Limits, and pricing.
  • Ability to work independently and systematically.
  • Attitude to teamwork in pursuing common goals. Strong motivation and ability to learn and share knowledge.
  • Computer skills (Windows office package)
  • Knowledge of SAP (especially SD module) will be considered as an asset.
  • Availability to travel a lot throughout the assigned territory.
  • Very good communication, negotiation and management skills. Ability to deal with problems and objections.
  • Results-driven mentality.
  • Good command of English language.
