Business Development Senior Analyst

Purpose of the Job:

•   Identify and develop national and international projects in line with the domestic and international growth strategy of the company

•   Follow-up industry developments, including energy markets, regulations and competitors in designated target segments and target countries

•   Prepare and present market reports, market entry plans, business plans and  feasibility studies to upper management

•   Manage and execute international procurement of large scale purchases

Key Responsibilities:; 

•   Establish, develop and maintain close contact with potential counterparties, regulatory bodies, related state institutions in domestic and international target markets

•   Follow-up market developments by attending local or international trade fairs, webinars and other means available

•   Financial analysis and modeling of market entry or acquisition of target companies

•   Perform industry research and competition analysis related to potential market entry projects or acquisitions

•   Identify and assess key profit drivers, risks and synergies related to potential transactions

•   Due-diligence coordination

•   Prepare and present management presentations and investment memoranda

Qualifications; 

•   At least 5 years’ experience in project development and analytical roles in Turkish energy market, and preferably international markets

•   Minimum a bachelor degree in a relevant discipline from a reputable university

•   Experience in corporate finance or M&A

•   Strong accounting and financial modeling skills

•   Strong written and verbal communication skills in Turkish and English,

•   A desire to work in a team environment

•   No military obligation for male candidates

General Qualifications:

•   Strong analytical skills – ability to gather and analyze key data to create a complete picture of the project being developed

•   Good level of IT competency, advanced knowledge of MS-Office tools

•   Well-developed and professional communication skills - ability to communicate quickly, effectively and in a constructive manner

•   Strong contributor to team spirit as cooperator and proactive thinker

•   Ability to analyze problems and identify appropriate and effective solutions under time pressure and support managerial decision making

•   Strong intellectual capacity – able to deal with complex market arrangements

•   Advanced reporting skills

•   Extensive knowledge of the Turkish Energy market, both in gas and power, and its relevant regulations

•   Fluent at professional level in Turkish and English

Key relationships:

Business Development Senior Analyst will report to Gas Trading and Business Development Director. The role will be in close contact with external and internal stakeholders across functional boundaries. Key relationships are as follows:

Internal:

-        General Manager

-        Gas Trading and Business Development Director

-        Sales Director/Team

-        Operations Team

-        Legal Team

-        Holding business development team

External:

-        Local and international energy regulatory bodies, business counterparties, consultants, advisors, state institutions, transmission system operator, distribution system operator and other service providers
