- Ensure the implementation of the Plant Food Safety policy, establish the food safety system and ensure it operates properly
- Identifying opportunities regarding the food safety system and ensuring its improvement,
- Measuring the performance of the food safety system and reporting to the management
- Evaluate the internal and external audits related to the food safety system and take the relevant corrective and preventive action if necessary
- Leading teams to ensure 100% compliance with PepsiCo Food Safety / AIB & FSSC22000 food safety management systems
- Organizing AIB internal audits, leading the food safety committee, analyzing the findings, sharing the results with employees and following the actions of non-conformances
- Ensure the continuity and functionality of the HACCP system, periodically reviewing the system with the HACCP team
- Conducting hazard analysis and identifying the monitoring, control, corrective action and verification methods together with the HACCP Team
- To fulfill and implement the requirements of this system together with the HACCP Team
- Ensure that the HACCP Team takes the necessary trainings by organizing internal and external trainings
- Following the company documents, legal changes and publications related to food safety, informing the senior management on this issue and making the necessary applications
- In case of a non-compliance, stop the operation, take the necessary precautions, comply with the rules on this subject and ensure that the rules are followed
- Control and manage the pest control implementation in the plant and ensure that the necessary corrective actions are taken for the effective execution
- Organizing inspections by regulatory institutions and private organizations and accompanying the officers
- To keep food safety procedures up to date and train the teams
- Organizing food safety training for new comers and temporary workers. Organizing annual refresher trainings
- Organizing annual food safety review meetings, and following up actions
- Ensure the cleaning and sanitation of utilities, production lines and equipment according to the cleaning and sanitation plans, ensuring the implementation of GMP requirements,
- To comply with the instructions of the plant and the head office regarding emergencies and crises, to ensure that the situations that pose a food safety risk are checked in emergencies and emergency exercises.
- Operation of factory incident management protocol
- Creating and operating the microbiology plan and managing the necessary improvement studies
- To follow and interpret finished product & raw material microbiology analysis
- Making general assessment of the facility and the conditions with the relevant persons in order to determine the possible food safety risks
- Work actively in Food Safety development projects, determine the required resources
- Organize purchasing requests by keeping the budget of the Quality Department under control
- Establishing and developing relationships with intra-group organizations /plants and other private and public organizations, by representing the company in these organizations,
- Coordinating the relations and operation activities with the Head Office and other plants helping to ensure coordination with information exchange
- Follow up the obtaining and updating of the necessary licenses and certificates required by the plant regarding quality and food safety,
- Ensuring, monitoring and evaluating the activities carried out in the department in accordance with ERP standards, GEHSMS and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System procedures and instructions
- To work in accordance with workplace principles and rules in terms of business ethics and work discipline
- Ensure that the personnel work in accordance with workplace principles and rules in terms of business ethics and business discipline,
- Conducting 1: 1 interviews and departmental meetings with the staff, listening their demands and suggestions, and implementing appropriate and correct suggestions,
- In the absence of Quality Supervisor and Quality System Supervisor, acts as a proxy.
- To represent the 'Quality Manager on food safety issues'
- Informing the 'Quality Manager' in food safety related problems
- Comply with the rules determined according to the "Food Safety management system and Food Legislation on Food Safety".
- Perform other duties assigned by the relevant supervisors in matters that may be included in their duties, powers and responsibilities.
- Following and reporting the customer complaints by leading the teams for possible A3 problem solving practices.
