Position Title: Production Engineer

Overall Purpose of The Role

Responsible for implementation of production planning and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, including new product introduction and manufacturing cell design to reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish the process planning for the manufacturing of any given product in the most optimized way, calculating the required resources in term of machines or manpower, considering both quality and cost.
• Design new systems, layouts and processes and provide facilities & methods to ensure the cost-effective integration of new products and/or for the improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations.
• Conduct the work measurement for any new product or review it for any existing product, calculating the routing time based on work content studies.
• Preparing all the manufacturing process related documents which will guide the operators to execute their work in an efficient and effective manner. (i.e. Failure mode and effect analysis, work instructions, Job cards, etc.)
• Develop further improvements in the manufacturing process in coordination with the operations team, to cut cost through reduced production time and waste elimination.
• Implement MES in various manufacturing fields to maintain continuous information flow to monitor the productivity at different stages by reviewing daily work outputs to determine any procedural problem at any stage.
• Plan and organize maintenance, respond to breakdowns. Report downtime and potential trends.
• Manage dedicated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Monitor process related non-conformance issues, carry out problem solving and process improvement activities.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree -preferably- in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Significant experience in manufacturing environment, preferably energy, automotive, house-hold sectors.
• Experience in ERP systems, preferably SAP
• Ability to use CAD and Project Planning Tools   
• Excellent interpersonal skills, complying with verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Constructive communication at all levels, internally and externally to the Company.
• Continuous Improvement Skills (Lean tools, CAPA, etc)
• Focused, target and quality driven
• Proficiency in English language (spoken & written), others will be an asset.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
