QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Test Architect for our Scrum teams. We develop with C++/Qt in Linux operating system for Siemens HMI Panels: we are responsible for firmware implementation and operating system adaptations of HMI Panels.
What part will you play?
As the Test Architect, you will have to know the product quite well, shape the testing strategy of the product, and you will have to lead the design and execution of test activities of scrum teams. We expect you to fulfill below responsibilities:
•Provide the vision for the test approach and test architecture,
•Define and implement a justified, effective test strategy for the project, aligned with the business and quality goals.
•Measure efficiency and effectiveness of test strategy.
•Measure, control and continuously optimize coverage and degree of test automation
•Foster the use of test automation and test-driven approaches in development
•Evaluate and define test tools and methods and introduce them in the organization
•Create test estimates and build reusable testing assets for complex components.
•Ensure the testability of the product.
•Provide technical input for risk evaluation and recommendation for product release decisions
•Involve, lead, guide and motivate the key stakeholders, experts and scrum teams in testing related topics and product quality
•Taking ownership in Siemens-wide organizational responsibilities to support working as One Global Team.
•Conform to Siemens processes, quality standards and guidelines.
What you need to make real what matters.
We expect you to have below qualifications. We will help you to learn and improve further:
•Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical and electronics engineering or equivalent experience
•Proven 5+ years of experience in software development and/or test.
•Proven experience in the field of testing and architecture and/or management,
•Strong hands-on experience in modern test methods and technologies, and automation frameworks
•Experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps toolchain and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines
•Experience in the software life cycle and agile methodologies.
•Efficient communication and negotiation skills.
•Experience in industrial automation domain (HMI Panels and TIA Portal, or other engineering systems) is a plus.
•Very good command of English (German is a plus)
