Socotab Yaprak Tütün is one of the leading oriental leaf Tobacco merchants in the world, supplying quality, compliant oriental tobacco to the world’s top cigarette manufacturers and is looking for an ambitious and motivated candidate to join IT team as IT Technical Specialist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master (University) degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Professional certification in Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, Azure Cloud Services or similar technologies/practices is a plus.
• 3-5 years professional IT experience in a similar role with exposure to maintenance and support.
• Sound knowledge of IT infrastructure, system security and data backup/recovery.
• Solid knowledge of diverse operating systems and platforms.
• Hands-on experience with implementation and/or support of multi-faceted complex IT solutions and operations.
• Extensive knowledge of computer systems, networks, IPT, mobile devices and other tech products.
• Experience with networks (LAN/WAN technology, components, protocols) and patch management.
• Hands-on experience in virtual environment especially in VMware. Management and deployment of virtual servers.
• Understanding of O365 applications and cloud technologies.
• Ability to develop a short-term work plan and be responsible for its implementation.
• Familiarity with remote desktop applications.
• IT/IS Security certification is an advantage.
• Familiarity with scripting languages would be considered an advantage.
• Understanding of key processes and best practices in delivering IT services and systems in a multinational and multi-site environment is desirable.
• Good command of English.
• Capacity to clearly communicate and explain a technical problem to non-technical users.
• Ability to quickly adapt to technology and/or application changes and business delivery priorities.

Job Description

• Performs installation, configuration and maintenance of IT infrastructure components (software, hardware and networks), both on-premises and/or in cloud.
• Monitors and analyzes current IT infrastructure performance and identifies opportunities for improvement through modifications and new installations.
• Participates in the design, testing and maintenance of the affiliate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Tracks security settings of all infrastructure components and systems to ensure that access rights and/or system security configurations are changed based only on appropriate requests and that all changes are fully documented.
• Develops and maintains necessary technical documentation and procedures on the supervised hardware and systems, constantly seeking opportunities to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
• Participates in the solution design and in the architectural definition of new services or replacement projects for existing IT infrastructure. Provides valuable input to the IT manager on the technologies and resources that can be used.
• Provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries from users in the affiliate, regional offices or branches (in person, by telephone, by email) and issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
• Guides users through the problem-solving process and follows up to ensure the issue has been resolved and runs reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
• Designs, implements and maintains Cloud solutions, or activates new Cloud services based on current needs, at local and / or group scope.
• Provides expert assistance to users in all locations, as well as consultation and on–the–job training (both verbal and in written form - notes and manuals) aimed at enabling them to use different types of systems, solve problems and to fulfil their responsibilities in a timely manner.
• Encourages and educates the users to benefit from Cloud technologies by introducing new methods of interacting with corporate services and systems.
• Participates in deployment and support of common business and productivity software.
• Assists the IT manager in estimation of costs and implementation efforts to produce realistic plans in the IT Infrastructure and Technical Services area.
• Stays current with the corporate IT plans and major initiatives and cooperates with peers from other affiliates to leverage synergies and reduce implementation/deployment costs.
• Coordinates purchasing and maintains an up to date inventory of required parts for IT Infrastructure (hardware, software, data and voice network components, computer spare parts, etc.) to ensure the high availability of IT Infrastructure and Services, in line with Company’s NTM purchasing procedures and policies.
• Collaborates and/or supervises external consultants involved in internal IT projects or support and maintenance tasks.
• Constantly monitors and studies new technologies and services appearing on the market and informs management of any opportunity to deploy these internally.
• Documents the configuration and troubleshooting activities for the main IT infrastructure service.
