How would you like to take a long journey with us in the IT Department for TELUS International, a global Customer Service Management Company?

Now we are looking for a Senior IT Specialist who has the following criteria and will add strength to our team.


Responsibilities:

  • Active Directory Users, Groups, OU and Group Policy Objects Administration

  • Datacenter rack mount installations of servers and network equipment,

  • Configuration of workstations/packages in FOG Deployment Solution,

  • Redirects requests to the specialized departments (Network, Voice, Development, Systems)

  • Local Cisco Switch Management,

  • Monitors the infrastructure (Servers, UPSs, Network Equipment),

  • User - Help desk – supporting the employees in technical questions,

  • Provide installation / configuration of software packages, installation / configuration of peripheral,

  • Assemble new joiners’ welcome equipment pack. Updates equipment inventory accordingly,

  • Disassemble and sort leavers equipment pack. Updates equipment inventory accordingly,

  • Provides instruction, activity guidance, being involved in providing support to company staff when needed,

  • Oversees the legal and responsible use of computer programs and equipment by users,

  • Providing Remote/Onsite IT support and training for new users on the Work from Home solutions,

  • Works with the Internal ServiceNow  ticketing system for tracking the Operational and Non-Operational requests,

  • Documentation and backup of internal IT processes,

  • Realization and documentation of internal IT projects, like soft- or hardware implementations, Updates or enlargements of the IT scenery,

  • Backup and if necessary enlargement of technical conditions for IT projects (e.g., climate in server- rooms, UPS capacities, memory requirements of new solutions, capacities of network connections),

  • Report to TELUS International IT Administration Manager.


Position Requirements:

  • Good English skills both verbal and written

  • At least 2 years of experience in IT administration

  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft-based technologies such as Active Directory, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Objects and Exchange Server

  • Google Workspace knowledge is a plus

  • Expert in Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11)

  • Basic understanding of Linux Operating Systems and Services (Apache, Nginx, Nagios)

  • Initial experience with Microsoft SQL Server

  • Knowledge of virtualization technology is an advantage
