QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Set along the dazzling Bosphorus waterfront in the historic district of Karaköy, The Peninsula Istanbul provides a showcase for both vibrant Turkish culture and superlative hospitality within Galataport, a new waterfront revitalisation project. The hotel is comprised of four exquisite buildings – three of them historic and beautifully restored – and welcomes guests arriving by land or sea.

 Key accountabilities 
  • Ensure proper operation of all responsibilities of Spa and Wellness operations
  • Oversees guest feedback and ensures elevated services recovery to exceed guest expectations, in keeping with the Peninsula Service Principles and a focus on Life Lived Best Operating Principles.
  • Maintain all guest enquiries and assist in ordering as needed, ensuring appropriate inventory. 
  • Maintain consistency in performance in accordance with Peninsula Service Principles.
  • Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the Spa and assists with the coordination of efforts between other departments.
  • Promote and sell Spa services and treatments to maximize utilization and increase of sales.
  • Seeks innovative ways to stay one step ahead, working creatively and produces new ideas.


 General requirements 
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within Spa in a Luxury Hotel environment with similar standards and expectations.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills, be able to work well under pressure with a variety of people, handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to resolve issues with minimal consultation and naturally positive.
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor and great “connection” with people. Manages guest feedback, and ensures elevated services recovery to exceed guest expectations, in keeping with the Peninsula Service Principles.
  • Ability to deal with a high level of work demand and pressure and show flexibility as well as understanding of the expectations.
  • Strong people leader and trainer having prior experience managing diverse teams.
  • Fluent English and Turkish communication proficiency.
