Medical English Translators will be recruited with a fixed-term service contract to be assigned within Governal Hospitals Operation Deparment of USHAŞ International Health Services Inc.  Employee recruitment will be carried out in our contracted public hospitals in Istanbul and Ankara,   and one employee will be recruited for each location.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferably from Business Administration, Economics, Tourism, Health Sciences, Health Management, Language and Literature or Translation and Interpretation;
• Having at least 1 year of experience in a similar position, with an overall of 4 years of total work experience,
• Having experience in health sector and being able to make comprehensive written and fluent oral translations in English-Turkish and Turkish-English during various processes of international patients,
• Having knowledge of medical devices, physicians, services, branches and business processes,
• Being able to use MS Office programs well and having the ability to report and make presentations,
• Being able to provide necessary coordination within relevant units,
• Being able to act proactively in providing all kinds of logistic support to international patients and their relatives/companions,
• Having strong human relations and patient communication abilities, giving importance to teamwork,
• Having the ability to be proactive in crisis solving and process management stages, being solution-oriented,
• Residing in the province where they are assigned or not having a situation that prevents them from residing in the province where they are assigned,
• Not having a health problem that would prevent them from performing their duty continuously,
• Completition of military service for male candidates,
• Translators who are not deprived of public services will be recruited.

Job Description:

• Taking part in various simultaneous oral translations during duties implemented by the consultants, in both face-to-face and over the phone situations, using the language spoken by the patient; within the scope of possible activities of foreign patients, based on their countries of origin,
• Ensuring that the communications between foreign patients and physicians (and other healthcare professionals) are managed in a correct and reliable manner,
• Ensuring that foreign patients receive service in their own language and are informed about all processes and ensuring their consent is obtained,
• Participating in physician visits and informing the patient in their own language,
• Taking an active role in guiding foreign patients, ensuring general coordination regarding transportation, examination and treatment processes,
• Making correspondences with foreign patients who received services, and following up on the complete and correct entry of patient records,
• Informing the relevant units about developments outside the planned treatments of foreign patients (such as different intervention, examination or treatment applications),
• Guiding all kinds of work in the processes of: transportation to the hospital, treatments, accommodations outside the health facility and returning to the country; of patients who visit our country to receive health services.
• Contacting the necessary people or organizations for the solution of the problems related to the treatment processes of foreign patients, and conducting studies for the solution of these problems.
