JOB DESCRIPTION

•  Reporting to Director of Metallurgy
•  Bringing the ideas to the formal R&I projects
•  Coordinating the R&D projects
•  Cooperating with universities, institutes and R&D centers to develop R&I projects
•  Track all Research and Innovation projects
•  Taking part in R&I projects both locally and globally
•  Conducting various technical tests on metals and alloys
•  Will be responsible for the development of new products and modifications of existing ones
• Ensures the timely completion of new product development activities
• Follow all R&I milestones for assigned projects
• Performs all required testings to guarantee of a marketable final product
• Conducting literature reviews
• Following up innovations and improvements in industry and making required analysis to support R&D activities
• Will be in contact with all R&D departments, Sales & Marketing, QA, Planning and Production

QUALIFICATIONS

• Msc. degree in Engineering (Metallurgical and Materials)
• PhD Degree in Metallurgical and Materials is a plus.
• Academic background on pyrometallurgy, extractive metallurgy and ferroalloys is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of experience in research and innovation field
• Having academic writing skills
• Published papers in respectable journals
• Having knowledge of preparing, managing and presenting R&D projects
• Excellent communication skills, and able to work in a multinational team environment
• Understanding needs of the market & customer 
• Thinking broadly about business
• Having desire to do outstanding jobs
• Recognizing and understanding emotions of other people
• Listening different perspectives and showing flexibility
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good project management skills to deliver projects on time and at good quality                                                                                                                         
• Fluency in both written & spoken English, knowledge of a second language is a plus
• Good knowledge of MS office programs, preferably good knowledge of SAP
